Marijuana Flower, Concentrate and High Potency THC
Cannabis is a genus of flowering plants. There are several types, but for our purposes, we will focus on Marijuana which contains more than .03% THC the psychoactive cannabinoid found in Cannabis plants.
Marijuana Flower
In the ’60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, marijuana flower contained anywhere between 1-5% THC. Since then, botanists have evolved the marijuana plant, which is grown it under perfect conditions. Today, they have strains that contain up to 35% THC. This is so much more potent and stronger than it used to be.
Marijuana Concentrates
Cannabis concentrates are made from the cannabis flower by separating the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant matter. What is left is a highly potent product that can be vaped, eaten, or drunk.
Potency can exceed 90% THC.
Dabs - High Potency THC
Dabs are small amounts or “blobs” of cannabis extracts. The principal extract used in dabbing is butane hash oil, and it's a waxy residue, made with butane as a solvent. The potency ranges between 60-99% THC. The Dab is heated and then the vapor passes through a water glass pipe device similar to a bong and is inhaled, or a dab pen is used, which is somewhere between a dab rig and a vape pen. What results is an off-the-chart high!
Common names for Dabs are Badder, Sauce, Crystalline, Crumble, Wax, Rosin, Honey Oil, and many more cute sounding names.
